On the Farm
For boys from the city, a visit to a working farm was an opportunity to experience at first hand the different lifestyle of country people.
Several visits were made to a farm at Telford near Yarrawonga between 1948 and 1950.
Another farm at Mena Park in Victoria's western district was visited in January 1951 at the start of the trip to the Grampians and South Australia.
